Phillip Lim Fall 2012

One of the many Fall 2012 Ready-To-Wear collections, Phillip Lim's models wear a pink and black inspired makeup on the New York fashion week runways. The pink in the eyes accented his black and white outfits and flattered the model's faces by using a white under mascara, and thick, dark falsies on the top.

Final look.

Start out by using this face. If wanting to avoid later complications, pull the hairline upwards.

Begin by putting a sole layer of Natura Faces Uau or another bright pink on. remember to keep all the lip layers thin as there are 3 to put on.

Next, apply a thin layer of another, more natural looking pink shade that is duller than the one previously used, for example, Natura Faces Rosa Mimo.

Apply an even duller shade of pink or purple to the lips. Remember to keep it thin and let the other colors shine through. The shade can even have a purple tint, like that of Dot called Orchid Ice.

Finnally, in the center of the lips apply a bloss to the center like Luxe Lipgloss or Maybelline.

Next, apply a coat of black volumizing mascara to the upper lashes. You can also do this in white to the lower lashes and omit the upper lashes. If you do so remember to replace them with false lashes.

Apply a coat of black lengthening mascara to the top and bottom of the eyes.

Take a black eye kohl and line the upper rims of your eye at the lash line just as far as the mascara goes.

Take a bright, vivid pink color like Deepening Rose and line the inner and outer corners of the eyes with it.

Use a lighter, white or off white eye liner like Dot's Lavender Dove and go over the waterline and the very tips of the eyes.

Use a light pink eye liner that is more muted than the hot pink, for example Camella, and blend the liners together at the waterline.

Apply 5 strokes per eye of a black eyeshadow like seen in the image above.

Take the eyeshadow version the the hot pink eyeliner or something close to it a put a dab on the edges of the eye.

On the waterline of the eyes, use a light colored or white kohl to accentuate the eyes.

Take a white eyeshadow or shade stick and line underneath both the eyes to lighten them up. Use as many coats as you feel comfortable with.

Take a very light blush like Dot Pink Sand and line next to the nose.

Use a light pink blush like Pink Lavander on the edges of the jawline, then go over it with a natural pink blusher, for example Fusion Coral blush to blend the skin and blusher.

Now you're done!
